Depression
Are you constantly feeling down or hopeless? Do you have little interest or enjoyment from doing things you used to get pleasure from? It is normal to feel down and miserable at times – especially when you may be experiencing a relationship break-up, losing a job or bereavement. But when the feelings of unhappiness persist in great intensity without any sign of diminishing – this could be a sign of depression. Accompanying signs of depression can be sleep problems, feelings of emptiness and loneliness, loss of energy, low self-esteem, reduced sex drive, lack of concentration.

I can work with you to overcome depression – normally this would involve a “talking therapy” wherein you learn to create awareness for persisting self-defeating thoughts and learn to recognize the onset of future episodes. By means of challenging depressive thinking and behaviour you will learn how to reduce the triggers and increase control over your life. Joy and serenity are not incompatible for people suffering from depression.
